P2 Safe Salad Dressings

 Strawberry Dressing
  • 1-2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 C Balsamic Vinegar
  • 5-6 big strawberries
  • 1 pack Saccharin or your choice of sweetener
  • dash of salt
  • juice of 1/2 lime
  Combine in blender and serve

Spicy Chipotle Dressing -Great on a Taco Salad or as a Veggie Dip
  • 1 tub of fat free sour cream
  • 1/4 C or more skim milk
  • chipotle spice 
  • garlic powder
  • crushed red pepper
  • 1 or more limes
  • salt
I use this as a dipping sauce for Asparagus while on P2.  I also use this as a salad dressing.  You may use this for lots more after you taste it and realize how many calories it is.  I got this idea from Red Robin.  My hubby and I love the chipotle sauce there.  We used to be little porkers dipping our frys into tiny silver buckets of it.  LOL!!!! 

If your tub has enough extra room in it you can mix in container if not use a bowl.  I squeeze juice of 1 lime if its big and juicy if not I use lots of limes till I get at least a quarter cup of lime juice in my bowl then I add approximately 1-2 tablespoons of chipotle spice.  I like it pretty spicy so if its not hot enough I keep sprinkling it in.  Then add garlic powder.  I use about a tablespoon maybe more garlic.  Add approx 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper.  I use lots of salt so start with a tsp mix and add more if you need to.  I thin this mixture down with about 1/4 cup of milk to stretch it and reduce the amount of calories consumed.

Mock Honey Mustard Dressing

  • 1 c fat free yogurt
  • 1-2 tablespoons stone ground mustard (just depends on how you like it)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tablespoon agave nectar
  • 1/2 tsp salt or more its up to you
This tastes great on an apple salad or as an apple dipper

P2 Blue Cheese

  • 1 c fat free sour cream
  • .5 ounce to 1 ounce (depends on strength you like)  blue cheese crumbles make sure you weigh this!
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
I wont ever buy fattening blue cheese dressing again after coming up with this one!  I experimented with making my own after purchasing Walden Farms blue cheese which has 0 calories but, a whole lot of chemicals that looked scary.  This is much healthier and natural.  You will be amazed at how much flavor you get by mixing a little bit of blue cheese with the sour cream.  Tastes like the real thing!  I like to use this as a dip for a hamburger instead of ketchup.

Dill Dressing

  • 1 cup fat free sour cream or you could sub ff yogurt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dill weed
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2-3 tablespoons ACV (apple cider vinegar) buy organic!
  • 1-2 dashes of Bragg's Amino Acids
I like to use this one for a cucumber salad.  I use a whole cucumber, slice thinly and eat the entire thing :-)

Fat free sour cream can be substituted for fat free yogurt or vice versa

All of these recipes are more than 1 serving but, as long as you are not eating buckets of it you dont really need to worry about how much you use.  Just use enough to satisfy your tastes and all spices are free so if you prefer it spicier add more!
